The story behind this space

You might be brand new here or you might have been following along since the beginning. Either way, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce this space and what you can expect from the club moving forward.

Let me start by introducing myself: I'm Brittany, a designer exploring the intersection of AI, motion, and the skills shaping tomorrow's creative careers.

I started this newsletter because I was overwhelmed. Not just by the negativity online, but by the volume of things we as creatives are expected to learn and the pace at which everything keeps moving. I felt like I was constantly behind. Everyone online seemed to enter this new technical world so easily, while I struggled.

So instead of sitting in that feeling, I decided to lean into what I call the skillsets of tomorrow. For me, the best way to do that is to be hands on instead of just consuming information about what I'm trying to learn. I thought this could be a space where I step outside of my comfort zone and share what I'm learning along the way. I'm not trying to be an expert! Things are moving so quickly that I don't think expert should even be the goal anymore. The goal should be to evolve, adapt, and move forward with a beginner's mindset. That is how I've always tried to approach my career.

I also wanted to create a space that feels realistic. A space that isn't full of hype words and doomsday language. This isn't about me teaching you X, Y, and Z. It's about exploring things together and learning together. And because I'm still learning, I'm not going to use a bunch of technical jargon. I'm just going to share what I'm finding, what's working, and what isn't.

That's the heart of this newsletter. Now let me share what that actually looks like in your inbox.

What you'll get from the club

📚 Education

These issues are for anyone who wants to learn alongside me as I explore motion design, AI image and video generation, and emerging creative workflows. I share what I am building, the prompts I am using, and the roadblocks I run into so you can learn from both the wins and the mistakes.

💬 Industry Topics

This is where I share my perspective on the shifts happening in the design industry. Why they matter and how you can adapt your own practice. I try to explore these topics with an empowering outlook instead of leaning into negativity for engagement.

🎨 Creative Kits (new!)

New tools, free fonts, and thoughtfully curated resources are some of my favorite things to collect. Creative Kits are where I share them with you. Each issue includes a handpicked bundle of tools, articles, and inspiration designed to support your creative practice.

I rotate between these three types of issues, with a new one landing in your inbox every two weeks. In each issue, I'll give you a sneak peek into what the next issue topic will cover!

Is AI coming for motion design next?

In the next issue, I'm exploring how AI is starting to show up in this space. What it looks like now, what it could become, and what it means for creatives building skills in motion.
